Ok, I do believe I have settled on two Adire Brahma 10" subs. The reason behind Adire and not RE, ID, JL W7, or Orion H2's is that the Adires require less power (~700W RMS) for a smaller enclosure (sealed ~.87 ft^3), and they are the cheaper. So, all over these forums people rank the RE Triple X.X.X, IDMax, JL W7 and Adire Brahma as being in the same class to each other (relatively), then for a non audio conessiouer like myself I shouldnt tell the diff. between them all. So, The adire is the cheapest and requires the smallest amp. Out of these amps, which will best compliment two Brahma 10's?

The subs youve chosen come in a dual 2 ohm config.
meaning you cant run them both at 1 ohm.
so...come back with some amps thatll do 1400-1500wRMS at 2 ohms...thatll be a little more helpful to ya...
but based on the amps you listed...
Id get the phoenix gold...good amp

I definately like your choices, but have you ever tried US Amps? I have the DE 500 which is 500x1 at 2 ohms and that amp is so conservative when they say 500. People cannot believe it when they look at it. Its the littlest amp I have ever owned and it will blow you out of the truck. They have a DE1000 that puts out probably 1200 watts into 2 ohms. That would slam those subs for ya. Also its pretty nice to buy from an american company that hand makes it amps to order. :-)

I did look at the US Amps, and if someone could show me a birth sheet, or any documentation, to prove that US underrates their amps, that would be awsome. Untill then 1000W isnt enough, I'm gonna need at the lease 700 per sub, 1400 Total. I am looking for a 1500W amp really..

well, how about this, my teammate scotty g got second at world finals in the 0-300 watt superstock class. he did a 155.4
his 2 vlx25 amps are rated at 50w each, but we know they are over 1500rms each. trust me, US under rates thier amps, also they go by wrms ratings at 12 volts. "top of the line equipment boys" zac
ps, look at how many amps an amplifier draws, this can give you an idea of how much power it is capable of, and on the flip you'll know if an amp says it does 1000 watts but only has a 20amp fuse, well...you'll know thats bs.
btw, my mmats 3000.05's draw over 320 amps each on the bench, i was surprised when they told me that, i thought they woere around 200 or so, good thing i dont use fuses, 4 amps = 1200+ amps of current, that would need a huge fuse:-)

I have a question Zac. If somebody was to get a 2000w amp or something for their car how in the world would u find an alternator big enough. Lets say I have a 2000w amp for my subs and a 200w amp for myspeakers. That would mean I need a 220 amp alternator just for the sound system, not even including for the cars basic functions. What are the chances of finding that big and fitting it under the average hood for a 90 amp alt?
