i was just wondering, if i have 2 subs, for a total of 400wrms each. The subs would have .75 cubic feet each. How much db's would i it?? I'm just wondering, so take a wild guess, thx
Im getting a single v-max w/ 2ft^2 @ 32hz. Considering the 3db loss of surface area since ill have one less sub, you think i'll be in the 120-130 range?
yeah there is absolutely no way to even guess at an SPL reading to be honest. it depends on the sub TS specs, the enclosure, the power supplied, car's sympathetic frequency, sound damping, cabin air volume, the weather that day and the height above sea level, and a myriad of other factors. in short, just get the car metered and see if you really need to know.
i hav 2 rockford hx2 10's with 400 watts to each sub and i tested them when they where brand new i know that isn't good on the subs but i didn't any way they hit 127 db's that shood give you an idea
nick, that was my old box but i dont know off hand the exact mesurement but i think it was like 56x21x14, and it was facing the roof, my new box is downfired, and its 56x29x15 tuned to 35 hz
