Building a 1000 Watt audio system...

Im new to the website and im hopeful to get some possitive feedback on this. I want to build a audio system for my computer, but i dont know what exactly i need. I was planning on building a Speaker and the the title box, i think its name is subwoofer. Thank you.

Now that you mention less power with separate speakers i think it might be better. I was looking only for bass systems but they seem to be pretty expansive so i decided to build one. so far i know i need Two Speakers[left and right] an amp and woofer, the amp i must buy, but id like to build the woofer. Any advice on that?
