im switchin up to 2 kicker 15in comp vr's 500rms a piece in a vented box,im running a jbl 1200.1 amp and i wanted to know if im goin to damage the speakers with that extra 200-300 watt's because I heard jbl's will destroy speakers in a vented box without a subsonic filter ,btw if I wire them right I heard I can get up to 1450 watts out of the amp is this true?
Yes u will damage those speakers. Its too much power and thers no subsonic filter. The 1200.1 is a very good under rated amp. If you want to run things safely and keep that amp dont drop the load on the speakers, because at 1 ohm that amp is a beast.
