Ha I guess I missed your thread when I posted my thread. I got my SAE1200 in the other day, and it is top-notch.

Nice prices on the SAE-1200s! Wish i had the money right now or I would snag one up. BTW whats the diff. between the SAE modles and the SAX or SAZ modles?

sae models are best for just regular people not going crazy on a build.
the sae can't run over 15 volts or be used under 1 ohm. but if you dont have that high voltage, and can run subs at 1 ohm the sae-1200d v2 is actually better than an saz-1500d.. i know someone may want to argue this. but if someone had a regular 14 volt system and ran both amps at 1 ohm, the sae-1200d v2 would actually put out more power after impedience rise.
the sax 1200 really just seems like a waste of money to me, i think the sae-1200d v2 was maybe too expensive for them to make money off of, because seriously an sax-1200d can't compare to its older version

i didnt like that the sae 1200d v2 only had 12 db per octave crossovers....only cheap amps have that

x2 on the beastly power that is. how do i find out how many watts its pushing? can i use a dmm for that? And how to tell the final impedance?

So would you all not recomend the sae models? Are they junk or just ok or what? Cuz they have a refurb sae-1200dv1 for $157.50 and it says it will do 1200wrms @ 1ohm. Now to me that sounds like a hell of a deal. They also have the sae-1200dv2 for $180-$187.50 which also claims 1200wrms @ 1ohm. Now what is the diff. in the sae v1 and v2s? Do they do rated power or no? Are they worth the money or should I look in to something else? I need around 1200wrms @ 1ohm so these amps seem like a steal. I was also considering the AQ 1200. Whats your opinions?

I got the SAE dv2 1200. it has an improved heat-sink than the dv 1 thats the only difference. I think it is a helluva deal. this amp beats the balls off my truck.
