Unless they used gold screws when making that box theres no way it should be $350. You would have much better luck selling the subs individually rather than doing the whole package, IMO.

yeah, your gonna take a huge loss on the box. they screwed you when they quoted you that much.

There are people here, Bassman3 in particular, that couldve built you a box for MUCH cheaper. :-(

Well I payed that cuz the guy has built me boxes for my other subs and they were the best boxes i've ever had, I went through 4 boxes before he built me mine for my HDC3 and it made a huge difference in his box and i had another box built cheaper for these subs same specs and same tuning and within a week I blew out the inside so I don't care that it was over priced cuz it worked for me, if you guys want to make an offer then throw some numbers out

Haha I was thinking that but the issue is I'm only 18 and I have to pay for my news subs and amp and everything myself so I need some money, did you have a deal in mind? And before I do anything I need to take them to my friend who deals with Image Dynamics and have him look at them to check to make sure the voice coils and everything are perfect cuz I don't want to be a jackass and ship woofers that arnt perfect, but let me know what you had in mind

is that without the box? because i have seen peope (someone on this forum too) selling their idmax 12's for 180 + shipping... seems like 250 + a box is a little much, depending on how big the box would be. I am interested in one because I do not want to upgrade alt. etc How much power were you running to them?

That expensive man. If you figure that i sell an enclosure for 150+ shipping, that adds up to around $330 worth of labor and money for the used IDMAX...

I would do $200 plus + enclosure (180 w/carpet + shipping worth) for both right now. That is about $420 worth of money/box

What's the specs on the dd9515 and what's the box specs? And bassman3, I could do that let me just see what else I can do and I also talked to my friend and had him test the subs out today and the voice coils and everything are in perfect condition

http://www.ddaudio.com/caraudio/09/woofer09_9500g.htm

they are rated at 1500 RMS but most people run around 3000+ RMS on them

15 inch
dual 1 ohm voice coils

box is 4.5 cubes tuned to 40 hz using aero ports - if you want lower tuning, you would just have to change out the aeros

"they sell for about $300 used each"

No they don't. I have seen alot of them that go for $200.

examples:

http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/classifieds/40242-couple-o-subs-4-sale-idmax -treo-ssi.html

^^^ this one he went with 200 shipped

http://usaci.forumotion.com/for-sale-f7/image-dynamics-id-max-12-dual-2-ohm-subs -for-sale-t7564.htm

^^ for a pair

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/car-audio-classifieds/197892-sale%3B-two-idmax-12- d4-v3s-mint.html

^^^ sold for $210

so snow, no they do not go for 300 used.

used pairs usually go for 400. 220 + a box (worth 180 w/carpet + i pay for shipping -- $40) and you get $440 worth

Still not sure where you see them sell for 300 so easy. Considering most of the links above had them on sale for a while, so they had to drop the price.

hey daniel. 9515Gs like mine generally sell for around $350. i purchased the box for $100 plus shipping from a forum member here named mike.

the only problem you may have with this setup is the voice coil configuration. because it has dual 1s - you will need an amp that is able to drop down to 1/2 ohm, or an amp that does good power into 2 ohms. see the link below

http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=1&I=12

to get full potential out of this sub - i would recommend 2-3K RMS. Running this much power will require electrical upgrades (batteries and HO alt)

check out the link below to figure how much a 9515G costs.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=dd9515G+for+sale&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&o q=

i see them for sale for up around $500 shipped. these listed at close to $500 generally have the composite cone and a carbon fiber dust cap.

my sub has the standard cone and cap which is why it would most likely sell around $350

the link below is the for sale thread that i bought the box on. the sub listed in his for sale thread is the same sub as mine (except it has dual .5s.....it still has the standard cone and dustcap)

that is the box that i purchased from mike

im not sure how you want to do it so i would like for you to throw out your offer of what you think is fair

i was thinking a straight up trade where i trade you my sub and box, for just your subs. i pay for shipping the 9515G and the box, while you pay for shipping the IDMAXs

i put some numbers in to my UPS shipping account and figure it will cost me around $60 to ship the sub, and around $70 for the box

i would prefer that you ship first as i have references from this forum

references include:

mike - purchased box from
chad lee - purchased flip out from
vertex audio - purchased comps from
andrew capps - sold eclipse amp to
army kyle - sold RD apha to
quentin - sold RD alpha to
rob - sold treo ssx to
BCS - traded D9 sub and cash for Fi BTL

and im sure there are more im forgetting about

that sounds good. ill get you some pictures for you either tonight, or tomorrow. depends on when i get out of work

would you mind shipping first?

i dont want to sound like a dicck or anything. i would just feel more comfortable that way as you are new to the forum

once i receive and examine the subs. i would then ship out the 9515G and the box.

one thing i did want to mention - i am going on vacation for spring break. i am leaving march 6th and ill be gone for a little over a week
