Anonymous | I seen a jl 12w7 for a descent price online, but it says its a 12w7 svc, and they also had 13.5 12w7 dvc. I am curious as to what the difference is between svc and dvc. The site doesnt really explain. http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?0=314&1=318&3=1664 http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?0=314&1=318&3=1630 |

Basic lines of increasing impedance Cheap Sub single 2 ohm single 4 ohm dual 2 ohm (4 ohm all together) dual 4 ohm (2 or 8 ohm operation) dual 6 ohm ( 3 or 12 ohm operation) Expensive sub And yes there are exceptions to this rule. The impedence dictates the amp or amps required to power each sub. For example a four ohm svc sub requires a bridged two channel amplifier. |
