I am upgrading all my speakers and head unit already and am wondering what the best sub option is. I want good SQ but want to be able to halfway enjoy some kick now and then. I was thinking two JL or Kicker 8 inch but a friend suggested I just get one 12w3v2 and a good mono amp. Would this give me the SQ with a bit of a punch I want?

What would the difference be in getting a single 12 to a single 10? Both are same RMS.

Thanks

A 12" sub is a bit more boomy but plays slightly deeper bass than a 10" subwoofer.

why the hell is no-one recommending boston pro subs anymore?
this was once the sub I wanted to get for SQ with punch at a reasonable price. was I tricked in that boston pro demo car?
btw that was my exchange plan after my Canton sub will lay to rest in the hopefully not to close future.
