Rockford T212D2 - questions on using this sub to replace a blown one

I had a setup using a 12" Audiobahn 1208Q subwoofer. Now I know Audiobahn subs are garbage, I made the mistake of buying one to save money.

It blew. It was rated at 1500rms. So I bought a 1200watt monoblock amp to power it (Audioque 1200).

Now I want to replace it with a Rockford T212D2 and run it at 1ohm so I get the most power out of my amp.

Any suggestions? other subs I should go with? My box was built for the 12\" Audiobahn. Is the rockford going to sound bad if I dont change the box? Help me out!

it would help if you posted the specs of the box. and i wouldn't buy the rf personally, i'd look into another sub. what's your budget?

The box I have was built to these specs:

Air Space Cubic Feet 2.3
Port Size (Inches) 4 x 7.25
Port Vel. (%) 22.61
-3dB (Hz) 32.5
Tune Freq. (Hz) 38
Sub Disp. (Cu. Ft.) 0.27
Port Disp.(Cu. Ft.) 0.047
Total Vol. (Cu. Ft.) 2.5

The rockford is $600CDN
Im willing to spend that much on one 12" sub.

But I need a sub that can be wired to 1ohm. My amp is here:

You can find A LOT of much better subs out there for $600. Are you going for SQ, SQL, or SPL?

I will sacrifice sound quality for loud bass

That said, I dont go in competitions or anything.

So any suggestions?

although i have heard this sub at a local shop and like it alot it is defintely not worth 600 for 1 12" sub thats prolly msrp. bcuz my high priced local store was only selling it for 400 and their prices are redicuulous on alot of stuff.

i would say go with a 15" if u have room with a new box

FI BL 15"

it would pound on 1200w rms from your amp and the sub would prob set u back only 350
