One sub which is a 6 ohm DVC. If I hook this up in parrallel then I take it would have a 3 ohm load on the amp? If I am correct, and my amp has ratings for both 4 and 2 ohms (it is NOT 1 ohm stable) do I chance hurting the amp or is anything between 2 and 4 ohms ok? Amy by the way is Memphis St500D mono.

Yeah, anything between 2 and 4 is fine, take the average between what is puts out at 2 ohms and what it puts out a 4 ohms, that's how much power the subs will get.
