I set another car alarm off tonight playing "Ridin' Rims" hehehe. The other day a guy had me pull over and asked to see my system. He said the only thing he'd seen that was a bit louder (when you hear what they are you'll know why...But was the state record holder who runs 4 12" Treo subwoofers. Which is quite understandable...Still, when people flag you down to see and hear your system (like literally stand in the middle of the street lol), you know you're doing SOMETHING right... |

If so, try 15" Arsenals, or if you can afford it, an 18" hAvoc. I thought you were just looking for loud with good sound, not just extremely loud. Although, all the models play very loud, and offer good sound from what I've heard...Even the hAvoc which is SPL oriented... |

It takes up almost the entire trunk in my Cougar (2002), and I have a LOT of trunk space lol. Go with some Arsenals, you'll get more SPL than the Assassins, but still get the sound quality. I'm just saying this because I set off alarms with my Assassins, but I don't want you to buy a pair, and then it not happen for you, so that's why I'm suggesting something bigger. Geeze, I'm not sure how to put this to words hehe. It just sounds like you want big sound, well the Assassins have pretty big sound, but from what you've described that you want, I think the Arsenals would work best. |

Someone on here had told me before that the displacement was very close to that of a Cerwin Vega V-Max...So that is what I had went with at the time. High tuning will generally result in more SPL. Maybe you could tune like 38-42Hz? You don't want to tune too high, or else you'll get strictly SPL. |
