Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana USA Post Number: 1620 Registered: Mar-04 | lots of amps can be "modded" usually this is done for SPL comps...the protection circuits are cut out so that they can be run at lower impedence loads. (ex: 1ohm stable amp can run at .35ohm...but the chance of smoking the amp is increased alot) also amps can be modded to accept higher voltages...most amps are made to work in the 11-15V range, but some can be modded to work at 16V+. this is usually not recommended for daily use. |
