I think I just blew one of my 15" x.x.x., not sure though. Is it possible to blow one with 1200 w rms ? I had bought a new CD and went to put it in. played fine for a while then a low muzzled 'pup'. And now no sound. I pulled it out of the enclosure, checked the wiring,OK. Then I switched to my 18" and played fine. So its a Sub problem. Still under warranty though. I'll call RE tomorrow. My question is, Is there another comparable sub I can get? I called RE and they said that the x.x.x. wont be in production 'til another 2 months( I haven't mentioned my sub problem yet) and I need another 15" sub comparable to x.x.x. ,in both SQ and SPL, by the end of the month.

it is definitely possible if you were sending a clipped signal.

call RE and tell them its blown
they can repair yours.
you had the gain set too high on your amp or you need more current for the amplifier. a clipped amp is what blew the sub. you'll blow any sub that way no matter how good it is or how well its made.

this is how the RE is rebuilt:

Cool , thanks guys. Sorry I couldn't respond sooner. For some reason I was getting a blank page for like 2-3 days straight.
