Can anyone explain the adjustment made by the volts on the head unit and the amp. My Alpine IVA 901 I have states that it is Pre Output Voltage (Before Clipping) : 4 V Max Min ??????, anyway, my amp range is Voltage -250mV - 6 volts. How do I adjust these setting to ge the most power? Any help would be appreciated.
you should turn the gain on your amp to 4v or just a little under that. if you get distortion when you have it turned to 4v, lower it by turning the gain counterclockwise.
not to jack the thread or anything but what voltage is usually put out by the rca outputs on amps? i have the alpine f240 and have the outputs connected to my sub amp.
