you couldn't SHIP a good box for $100

go to a local shop and have the box built.
the time it took me to write this is worth $100 to me.

depends a lot on the complexity.
order/type of box, if its just a simple box of custom shaped to teh trunk of a car, what it's covered with, how it's reinforced, etc..
a box can go anywhere from $15 or $200 up into the five figure range.

enclosure material has a lot to do with the cost as well. MDF is cheap. Hardwoods and Plexiglass or Lexan are expensive.
One sheet of plexi can cost thousands of dollars.

a note on shipping, I just had some artwork, framed, packaged and sent to me, and the shipping alone was over $100 for a print in a frame with glass that measured about 40"x36"x3"
That package weighed maybe 20 lbs.

a good box is bigger and weighs a lot more.
