Bandpass can it still be yoused?

i am looking for some mad bass and i was wondering if bandpass could be yoused on a kicker l7 15?

Of course it could be used, but whether or not it would sound good is a whole other issue. Most people never even bother with them because of the complexities with getting them to sound good. Either you have a real short flat frequency region (20hz generally) or you get huge dip at tuning frequency and big gains a 1/2 octave above and below. Both have very steep rolloffs, most times worse than a normal ported enclosure.

Most audio enthusiasts do not even bother with a 4th order enclosure (bandpass). They're mostly used to get huge bass (and false impressions) on a department store floor.

What knacko said is true, however, if you build a bandpass box that hits the spot...it will be louder than a ported box.
