josh boldin Unregistered guest | I just got two 15" kicker cvr dual 4ohm voice coil subs for my 16th birthday and i know anything about ohms and wiring. i was about to buy the kx1200.1 but my friend said i couldent wire the 4ohm subs to that amp. can someone help me out with this and tell me the best way to wire these subs and which type of amp i need? |
HelpThe Subless Unregistered guest | Check wat ohm the kx1200.1 is stable to.. If i remember right , its stable down to 1ohm. So u gotta get ur subs to wire down to dat, and with 2 4ohm DVC u can get either 1 or 4 ohms. Josh, check this http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp |

Your friend was mistaken, and probably assumed the KX1200.1 was only stable to 2 ohms, as is the case with most amplifiers. |
