I have two brand new Eclipse Aluminum 12's the SW7124-T2 they are Dual 2 ohm Voice Coils running off a Hifonics 1500 Watt RMS Class-D Mono Block Amp. I got the subs in a sealed box now and it pounds hard and hits clean as hell. I recently went to a good audio store in my area and paid them $215 bucks to build me a custom made slot ported box, It took them a week to make,I was wondering if i should just stay with the sealed box or will it be alot louder if i go Ported. All i want is to get the most SPL out of my subs without hurting its SQ because right now it has incredible SQ in the sealed enclosure but its not as loud as i would like. Tell me what yall think. SEALED OR CUSTOM SLOT PORTED?
