A friend of mine asked me this earlier today but couldnt really give him an answer since I never tried 15"s yet, Anyway he has two Alpine 12" Type R's and was wondering if one 15" Kicker Solobaric L7 S15L7 would be better?

tell him to get the l7 spo you can buy his type Rs...lol. because i know you have been sub huntinglike crazy. i guess it depends on what he wants..does he like lound and sound like crap? because the L7 can do that really good. if he wants a little bit of boom and some clarity then keep the type Rs. i like having two 12s instead of one fifteen. but thats my opinion....

Yeah I was thinking that about the Type-Rs lol, Only need one off of him to pair it up with my other one. But he basically wants it to be LOUD but sound decent while doing it. Is there any 15" that would basically do this and outperform 2 Type Rs? basically told me hes looking for just One sub that will be louder to replace the Type Rs. His limit is around 275$ off of eBay.

I don't think he has a amp to power that though, Currently he has a 600w RMS amp. Would that be fine?

lol, I do kind of mind but oh well. His will be louder but not for long once my income tax comes. $270 is too much for him though. I misunderstood him on the phone when he told me his limit, Its only $210 and thats pushing it. So would that Kicker be the best choice?

"How does Diamond Audio compare to ed?"
I'd definately take Diamond over Ed personally. Diamond makes some of the best equipment you can get your hands on.

Thanks, one more question. Would a Alpine Type-R 1221D be better than a Diamond Audio CM3 12D4?
