Question about wiring subs

if got 2 300W 10" subs and a 400W amp, would it be better to do series or parallel wiring

I would say parallel since in a series i would think 300 watts of the amps would go to the first sub and only 100 to the second but i am not positive on this.

single four ohm, series parellel as long as the amp is 2 ohm stable

i how do i connect subwoofers to that 2 chanel amp to get best quality bass
