I have an Onkyo 601. When I put in the Finding Nemo dvd at startup the receiver displayed the note - Dialog Norm: -7
I've never seen this before. I'm guessing in the calibration somewhere I have the dialog set to this level but I can't seem to find out how to change it. It isn't listed anywhere in the manual. I have noticed many times that it seems like the dialog is very soft even though the effects and music come through very strong. Does anyone know how to change this? FYI, in the speaker calibration it only refers to the center, left, right and surround speakers in levels of -12 to +12, nothing about dialog. Thanks for your help.
