Hi I have to old Hitachi's that just recently blew up (an jeez did they smell bad when the woofer went)and I need some new tower speakers. If any one can make some recomendations on some that would be great.
What I'm looking for is Sonys, Kenwoods, or Bose.
In a 150-400 watt range I don't know how much wattage my Sharp puts out but the Hitachi's where like 350watts each.
I'd like to have them on the skinnier side but with a woofer. I will say right now I don't buy any of my speakers new (sounds trashy but I'm 14 so I can't afford 2000.00 speakers) I go to lots of flea markets with friends and find tons of almost brand new speakers there so if anyone can tell me about some pretty new tower models that be a big help.

Can you tell us a bit more about your Sharp receiver?

I strongly suggest you take a few minutes to read this article http://www.avguide.com/features/buyers-guides/beginners-guide-to-choosing-loudsp eakers.php .

These Polk R50s are good & inexpensive http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4005092?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG , but if in the end you decide you simply decide that you want to spend as little as possible, some of the models on this page might then be an option http://www.overstock.com/search?keywords=speakers&refinespeaker+type=Floor+Speak ers&searchtype=HP_Header&resultsTrigger=%28free_text%3D%3D%28+speakers%29%29 .
