Anyone care to explain the Onix Concerto-1 to me?

I'm not sure I've ever seen a driver like this, anyone (and you know who your are) care to explain the benefits of this thing?

It looks like they'll be some interesting stuff coming from Mark @ AV123 in the near future.

If I see correctly, they are using the "dual magnet" drive in the cheaper speaker but not the higher priced? That seems odd. Typically, placing anything that large in front of a smallish driver which works up into the midrange isn't a great idea due to reflections off the obstruction.


That's quite a power cable connector they've found. Audio bling!

Yes, Dr. Freud might have a thing or two to say about that cable connector.

I'm still not sure how you can hang a large magnet off a voice coil with no support other than the coil itself?

Can someone explain how that magnet right in front of the cone doesn't mess up the dispersion of the sound waves?
