On the subject of novices trying to get better equipment, I'm considering buying a used set of Unisound floorspeakers (unisound.net) from a local showroom for $600/pair. They're 4 ohm, 3-way, and they're really heavy (84 lbs). Are they going to be compatible with either my 70s Sansui 8080db receiver or my Kenwood, same era? I'm used to my ADS 700s which are out of commission for the time being - well, until I can find someone to repair one of them (tweeter problem). Just thought I'd ask. I mean, has anyone ever even heard of Unisound? I hadn't.
