I'm currently driving my KEFs with a Marantz SR4400 AVR (in stereo mode) and a Philips DVDP. It sounds lacking. Any recommendations?

Yes. NAD C352 (integrated amp) is exactly what those speakers need (since you asked on the integrated amp board). If you want to stick with an AVR, then get the NAD T743, which is available for about $500. It would make a huge improvement, in both music (stereo) and HT.

That particular Marantz is, unfortunately, just another under-powered mass market AVR. The power supply is way too small and the output transistors are strictly bargain basement. It is no wonder it lacks dynamics . . .

hey shahrukh how abt some ahuja spks and amps(a/v). they truly sound amazing..
how much does marantz(sr4400) cost in indian rs?
do you'll get mcintosh and mark & levinson there in mumbai?

I can tell you that they sound great with Cambridge Audio 640A, but I agree with Hawk, I think the best combo is with NAD
