OK. I need suggestions. Here is my equipment.

Bose 601's (front)
Bose 301's (rear)
Bose Center Channel Speaker
Onkyo 602B receiver

I have an Polk Subwoofer (PSW202) and I need a better subwoofer. This sub can only get to about 80hz and is only 100 watts. I was thinking about getting the Velodyne DPS-12. I read all the reviews and it seems like an excellent product. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

The DPS-12 isn't bad, depending on how much you can get it for. Other options:

Mirage S12, $400 shipped from vanns.com

or

Hsu STF-2, $400 from hsuresearch.com

or

SVS PB10, $425 from svsubwoofers.com (better for HT than music)

80Hz? Really? Thats where a sub typically starts. I assume this has been checked with an SPL meter, etc, but I would suggest checking your placement, and a few other things, as it might well not be the sub's fault.

Eddie's choices are spot on though; I would add the Klipsch Synergy Sub 12 and 10 to the list as well for things to check out however.

If you look at the specs, the lower limit of 80 Hz is for the variable crossover frequency, e.g. that's that upper frequency of the sub, not the low end.

It is rated at 45 Hz at -3dB, which I'll agree is not very low for a sub. A Hsu STF-2 will get you down to 25 Hz.
