Staring up moble DJ business and have some Mcgregor speakers rated @ what I think is 300rms, and 8ohm (each I presumne)or so it says on the back were the input is.
The amp I have is 500w, 250 per side @ 4ohm and 150w @ 8ohm.
My question is, from the above is this sound system underpowerd, overpoewerd or will it be ok for continuos music whilst DJ'ing.
I suspect I am only using the speakers at half their potential, however the fuse for my top end does tend to need replacing now and again, so this points me in a different direction.
If the fuse for the tweeter is blowing, the system is underpowered. However, buying more power is less likely to solve the problem than buying more efficient speakers.
