Speaker shipping

I have some speakers that need shipped to my cousin and don't have the original boxes. Should I: a) call the company and ask for boxes and packing to ship them properly, and at what cost for the boxes/packing? or b) Do I just obtain some boxes and pack them the best that I can? If so on b), any recommendations as to how to do this properly to protect the speakers? The speakers include one pair of bookshelf speakers and one pair of floorstanders.

Thanks

i would not recommend buying designated boxes for them from a retailer-theyll rip you off likely. if possible find fitting boxes and i highly recommend double boxing them (which will be tough finding a two pair of large boxes for the floorstanders). besides double boxing them, bubble wrap and newspaper should do the job-most retailers use simple paper and styrofoam in their packaging. also make sure NOTHING will touch the drivers.
