I have a 6.1 speaker setup currently and need to purchase a new receiver. I am looking at one of the new 7 channel Yamaha receivers , but not sure how to wire the rear center speaker. It has output for L and R channels for rear only. Can it still be done? Thanks for your help.
Just switch off one of the rears L or R. all the effects will be redirected to one speaker. And none of the current formats support 7.1. If im correct only DPL2x has this feature
