I recently purchased a pair of C-7s. I was planning on getting the C-5s after reading several good reviews, but the sales guy convinced me that the C-7s were worth the extra expense because they "image" better. I was a little skeptical of their smaller drivers, but they did sound nice in the showroom. However, after listening to them at home for two weeks, they still sound a little thin or flat to me in the low-midrange or upper bass, and I am wondering if I should have got the C-5s instead. I noticed that even though the C-7 has three drivers to the C-5's two, both use only one driver for the critical 1K-2K range, and since the C-5 has larger cones, perhaps this will make a difference. Does anyone here have an opinion on the C-7s, especially compared to the C-5s? I'm using a Denon AVR-3803, so I don't think power is the problem.
