Hi Everyone,

I am looking for advice on which speakers sound best with the Rotel RA-02.
I have heard them with Wharfedale Diamond 8.4s - sounded good till we turned it up loud when my ears started hurting :-)

My other options which I plan to audition are:
1. Jamo E-570
2. Mission M33 and M34
3. Diamond 9.4
4. Dali 3003
5. Tannoy Fusion 3

Cheers
Joy

If you can find them I would suggest:

Acoustic Energy Aegis EVO3 (big floorstander, great value)

B&W DM600 or 601. (The 600 is more musical but the 601 goes deeper.) standmounts

Dynaudio Audience 42 - standmount (but a cracking speaker)

Totem Dreamcatchers - standmount (also a cracking speaker)

Which one to choose would depend on your taste.

Thanks! I will add the AE EVO3 and B&Ws to my list as they are available for audition in India.

Have fun! Of the two, my preference is the AE.

I would second Frank's recommendation on the Acoustic Energy speakers.

Can someone tell me what is the range of speaker impedence and sensitivity that I can choose from to match the Rotel RA 02. For example - all the Wharfedales are 6 ohms and 86 db whereas the Jamos are usually 4 ohms and 90 db sensitivity.

Thanks
