hey ive got a pioneer headunit (P4700 MP) and a friend gave me a bazooka tube sub for free. I was just wondering how to hook it up. im pretty sure the sub has a built in amp if that makes a difference. right now there are a couple of red and orange wires running from the sub as well as some sort of RCA cables coming out the back... i know nothing about this kinda stuff so any help is good help! thanks a lot... i also want to avoid buying an additional amp - if thats possible. thanks again.
if the tube has RCA cables, it has an internal amplifier. take the tube to a local shop and have it installed for you. all you'll need to buy is an amp wiring kit which is about $30-50 (8AWG is plenty for that size amp) and possibly a couple of nylon tie-down straps.
