Hello I just ordered an mtx thunder502 amp, its rated 250W x 2 at 2ohms, 500W x 1 at 4ohm bridged, i was wondering if this would be a good match for two 10'' alpine type R subs, dual 4ohm (1041D) ,i was going to wire the sub voice coils in parallel and send a 2ohm load to each amp channel... let me know wut u guys think.....
thanks

250 x 2 will work but those 10's can take 400-500 and probably even more without a problem...im going to be running 2 12" type r's with 2 mrd m501 which gives them 600 watts each...but they arent hooked up yet they are just sitting at my house, but im planning on hooking them up in the next few days so ill get back to you.

Are you getting the 2004 or the 2005 type R's? I have (2) of the 2004 (1021D) and am putting 450 RMS to each and they are handling it great. You may either want to get (1) 12" type R or get a bigger amp (jusy my opinion)

ya I really like the 10's .. im lookin for the 1041Ds , i thought that there wasnt any 2005 models because they stopped making them?? ,,,, I only figured a 250x2 amp would be good because 1- im low on $$,, and 2- im afraid of blowing the subs... my last two subs blew 4 times ,, they were infinity 1030Ws but i found out it was the stupid audiobahn amp...
