chauncey is it possible to fit 28 rims on an esclade? i thought those would only fit on hummers. my next car i want is the chrysler 300 with the hemi engine. i would also put 22" rims on those. as for sound system, i would just take the ones have and move them to the chrysler. by then hopely i have my jl setup complete.

Randy Moss has 30's so anythings possible, but u are gonna have 2 pay for it, my cousin has 28 on a Monte Carlo and it sits like 4 1/2 feet off the ground, so i mean if thats what u want go for it. Also u can find great deals on rims with tires if u just look around. My rims where a regular 2200, and i only paid 1100 brand new with tires.

AAAAHHHH WTF!!!!!!!!!! the right side speaker just blew today. i was playing some trance at high volume and about 10minutes later i hear rattling noise. at first i thought it might have been the sub but it wasn't. i isolated all the speaker by using balance and fader and its the front right side. i am so frustrated. that is fucked up.

thats it. tomorrow i am going to get the dynaudio system 240gt component set. i bet those won't blow and sound awesome too.

LOL, Chad u seem really madd, and dont be so sure those wont blow, because when u think about it the reason they blew was because u may have done something wrong(not sayin u did. But those dynaudio's should sound great

you might have a point there chauncey. that is the second time a speaker blew on that side. the first time was a jl audio coaxial speaker. i don't know why it blew on that side. there was no sign of distortion or anything. anyways i just ordered the dynaudio component set from ebay for $500. it should be here by monday cause they are only like 30 min drive from where i am.

damn buying all my stuff has kinda delayed me in buying a suburban. i was planning on buying a used suburban in april but now it has to wait til june. lol. i am going to fix up the suburban slowly. kinda like a weekend hobby. when its done it will have a killer system though.

Dont u guys watch danger jobs or something

1. Logging workers
Fatalities: 92.4 per 100,000 employed
Median pay: $30,080
Logging and timber workers duties include cutting down trees and cutting and moving logs, providing the raw material for countless products. The nature of their work puts them at constant risk of being killed by heavy, falling objects.

2. Aircraft pilots and flight engineers
Fatalities: 92.4 per 100,000 employed
Median pay: $135,430 -- but may be much lower for commercial pilots.
Although aircraft pilots and flight engineers have one of the most dangerous jobs in the nation, don't swear off air travel just yet. This category also includes commercial pilots of smaller aircrafts -- including crop dusters and air taxis -- that are far more likely to crash than your typical 747.

3. Fishers and related workers
Fatalities: 86.4 per 100,000 employed
Median Pay: $28,220
Fishers endure storms, fog, wind and hazardous working conditions before bringing you the fresh salmon on your dinner plate. Perilous weather puts fishers at risk of drowning if their boat capsizes or they fall overboard. And if they suffer serious injuries while at sea, help isn't readily available.

4. Structural iron and steel workers
Fatalities: 47 per 100,000 employed
Median pay: $42,410
These workers climb dozens of stories to lay the iron and steel that form buildings, bridges and other structures. Despite strapping on harnesses and other safety gear, structural iron and steel workers face a high risk of fatal injuries from falls.

5. Refuse and recyclable material collectors
Fatalities: 43.2 per 100,000 employed
Median pay: $26,950
When refuse and recyclable material collectors take away your trash, they risk traffic accidents and fatal injuries from explosions of hazardous materials. According to a University of Miami study, the leading cause of on-the-job fatalities for these workers is impatient motorists who try to pass the garbage truck and hit the driver.

6. Farmers and ranchers
Fatalities: 37.5 per 100,000 employed
Median pay: $38,600
Farmers and ranchers raise animals and plant, cultivate and harvest crops used to produce our food. However, the tractors and machinery used by these workers can be very dangerous: Non-highway vehicle accidents accounted for 40 percent of occupational fatalities for farmers and ranchers in 2004.

7. Roofers
Fatalities: 34.9 per 100,000 employed
Median pay: $31,300
When these workers climb atop your house to build or repair your roof, they risk slipping or falling from scaffolds, ladders, or roofs, or burning themselves on hot bitumen.

8. Electrical power-line installers and repairers
Fatalities: 30 per 100,000 employed
Median pay: $49,700
When your lights go out, line installers and repairers climb power poles and towers to get your electricity up and running. Power lines are typically high off the ground, so workers are at high risk of injury due to falls. Plus, these workers are often at risk of electrocution from contact with the high-voltage power lines.

9. Driver/sales workers and truck drivers
Fatalities: 27.6 per 100,000 employed
Truck driver median pay: $33,870
Driver/sales worker median pay: $20,320
Truck drivers transport goods including cars and livestock, and driver/sales workers deliver and sell their firm's products over established routes. Both groups spend the majority of their time on the road, putting them at high risk of highway vehicle crashes.

10. Taxi drivers and chauffeurs
Fatalities: 24.2 per 100,000 employed
Median pay: $19,790
The dangers of shuttling around patrons go far beyond highway crashes. Taxi drivers, who often work alone and carry large amounts of cash, may also find themselves victims of robbery and homicide.

wow, that's really intresting.....I watched a show on Discovery the other day about crab fishery and they said it's basically the worst/dangerous job in the world. They only work for about a week and make about 15,000 each! However, every trip, at least 1-2 people get's killed. They are out in the Artic ocean where storms are brutal, and the risk of flying crab pots and ice. Crazy job. They also said that for every new person starts, only about 1/10 or something returns for the second trip if they survive. Crazy stuff.

hey charlie - idk u were on now

yea well in that case u should stick 2 ur original plan with 2 12w6v2 & do 1 1000/1 which will b cheaper than 2 500/1 & occupy less space .

Since u want SQ then sealed 4 real & some great comp & a 300/4 amp 2 power them .......

last night when i was going home, i was bumping my 50cent cd. it was kinda cold so i had the heater on and my lights were dimming at high volume.

question....do you think it is possible to repair a blown speaker. i was thinking what if i took out my door speaker and use superglue and glue it. lol. maybe that might fix it. it still sounds pretty good in my car with one door speaker missing.

Hey guys......I have a real stupid question: My amp has 2 outputs, for 2 4ohm speakers that would automatically put the amp in 2ohms. My Type R has dual 4ohm VC, so I have one set of wires coming from one VC to one output, and the another set of wires coming from the other VC to one output. My box only has one terminal so that's I have one set coming through my port. If I used the banana plug and configured it to get 2 ohms and then run one set of wires to "speaker A" on the amp, will my amp still operate in 2ohm mode? Basically, I want to elimate one set of wires, but still have 2ohms. Stupid question I know, and that I should know the answer, but I just can't seem to figure it out. Thanks guys!!

that was on my rockford amp thats in my girlfriends car. The amp I have now is a mono class D, but it has to speaker outputs "Speaker A" and "Speaker B". The manual said this was done like this to make wiring a 2ohm load easier. I only want one set of my wires coming from my sub, but still have a 2ohm load. Basically what I'm asking is can this be done, or do I have to have the 4 wires going to the amp? (2 wires from each VC)

well the reason for that rovin is cause i remember you posting before saying it is good to have a little headroom. with the idmax there is no headroom. since the eclipse tis are 750wrms i would have a little headroom.

you couple of post hos. lol.

the reason for that chauncey is cause i want spl and sq. the type x just don't cut it when it comes to spl. sq is good but not loud. oh and another reason why i want to change my sub is cause you said alpine is overrated. lol.

well i guess we r - LOL !!!

well 4 me there r a few subs i would like to own

JL
12W6v2
12w7
13w7

AA Avalanche - cause ever1 says they r possibly the lowest freq sub ever

xxx - curious 2 know what the hype is all about

IDmax - any sub which has a pedigree very close 2 13w7 is a must have , recently i learned that there's a dealer in my country who has em

MMats Juggernauth - has a serious SPL reputation , there's a van in my country with 12 15s of these but i haven't seen/heard it yet

note others above are SQ & SQL subs ......

Once u get the ti's u will see what i mean. Alpine makes great budget subs and there amps are nice, but if u got the money to spend on something like ti's, XXX's,etc go for it, u will not be sorry.

i do want the 13w7s but those things are 52lbs each. so 2 subs plus the box would be way too heavy and would weigh down my car alot in the trunk. its pretty heavy right now as is. don't want more weight back there. i think the tis would be a good choice for me. i don't know. its a toss up right now between the tis and idmax. i am just going to wait about a month and decide. besides my dynaudio components should be here this week and that should keep me happy for awhile. i am going to get a sealed box for my type xs for now. i love the way bass sounds in sealed boxes. i just want good sq ant the same time get pretty loud. I WANT TO BE HEARD!!!!!

~~BOOM!!!!~~ ~~BOOM!!!!~~~~BOOM!!!!~~ ~~BOOM!!!!~~~~BOOM!!!!~~ ~~BOOM!!!!~~~~BOOM!!!!~~ ~~BOOM!!!!~~~~BOOM!!!!~~ ~~BOOM!!!!~~~~BOOM!!!!~~ ~~BOOM!!!!~~~~BOOM!!!!~~ ~~BOOM!!!!~~~~BOOM!!!!~~ ~~BOOM!!!!~~

i know my hatch ha an advantage over many other rides but u r pushing 2 times wrms & in theory should be enough bass 4 anybody .

Hmmmm - i wonder if a 15" xxx powered by both ur jl amps will satify u

How heavy is a 12" idmax & 12" Ti ????....

X's have Sensitivity 83 dB's and R's have Sensitivity 87 dB's that makes a big difference, spl subs usally have a very high sensitivity, while sq subs are usally in the low 80's.

And i dont think he will be happy until he has an all spl setup like me.lol

And i didnt no 13w7's where that heavy

I have a buddy with an Infinity sub......He got the gain and freq set to max on his amp.....he got the bass turned up on full on the deck, and everything up that can possible go up. It's in a Mazda MX-3 so it sounds SICK!!!! It's like 2X my sub. I guess cuz where he got everything set to max and it's in a hatchback. What I don't understand is that when I went back to the hatch and listened to the sub, it was distorting. He had it like this for a few years now (ever since I knew him). He took out his infinity for the winter and put in a old kenwood. Same goes for that....everything cranked. It still sounded better than my R in his car. When I went to the hatch, all I could hear was distortion and the sub bottoming out. What I don't understand is how he could possibly run his system like this for 2-3 years and still havn't burned out the sub or amp??? I don't it once and toasted my sub. It sounds deadly in the car 2 him, and that's all that matters

Nope chad never heard the dynaudio 240gt, but i have heard a dynaudio System 360 in a 96 impala, and i guess the L7's have messed up my hearing because they didnt sound like they where worth $1100. They sounded better then perfects, and everything else i have ever heard but not for the price$$$.

Also james what kinda amp does he have because u can send 100 rms to a 2000 rms sub if its a clean unclipped signal it would work 4 a long time

He has an Infinity 1230 (300wrms) and he's feeding it about 280wrms @ 4ohms from a RF P3001. Same system that's in my gf's car but I would NEVER do that. I can't figure out why he havn't blown anything yet with all the distortion

i want 2 12" solo baric l7s. i think it will get loud with two of those. chauncey i was wondering aren't you kinda over powering your subs with your sx1250.1? also you ever thought about stapping two of your amps to power one solo x? so you can have two solo xs in your car. that sh!t would get loud man.
