Some Choppy (sped up) Clips During Windows Moviemaker Capture With my PVGS 120

I usually have great success capturing the video from my PVGS 120 with windows moviemaker, on my dell dimensions 8400. Some of the time a few of the clips don't record properly. They play back in a higher speed with messed up sound. I can't figure out whats wrong. Especially since in the same capture, most of the clips will be normal with only a few (or just one) being fast forwarded.
Please Help!

When doing video capture, you don't want anything running in the background. The computer needs to be focused on just one thing.

Disconnect your PC from the internet.
Diable your firewall.
Disable your antivirus.
Disable anything else that you can think of.

What is your current RAM?

You may want to think about increasing that to 4 gigs at a minimum. Video editing takes up a lot of resources.

And if you can, try other video editing software other than the one you currently have.

Thanks LK and Berny. I often have the taskbar full of other stuff running in the background. I'll try it with all programs stopped. Also, I will see if my 512k ram is up to the task, if not, it may be time to upgrade the ram.
