So I purchased the above camcorder just before going away on vacation, and didn't pay attention to the lack of USB or firewire connectors running out of the camera. While on vacation I recorded in what is called the "VR" mode as opposed to "DVD" mode (Last time I do that), which means it won't play in my computer for editing. I do have standard RCA's running out of the camera however. Any ideas for getting the RCA's to USB? Or maybe I would be better off going from RCA's to a capture device of some sort? Maybe a DVD player with record capabilities? I have seen some products on the internet that may do the trick, but I have no idea what will work, or won't. Any thoughts? It doesn't have to be a pro solution, but I do take pride in my side projects. Oh, by the by, my computer is a pretty straightforward Dell set up, just over two years old, running Windows XP.
