I have this camera from a freind and It had no access. so I went out and bought the battery and charger and dvd's. NOw here is the problem when I record and try to play back in dvd player, It does nothing. so I did alittle research and found out that I need to finalize the dvd, from the camera and When I tried it, it said that I needed the ac adapter,the one piece I dont have.. Is there another way to go around this so I dont have to buy this ac adapter which will cost me another 150$
You can get an AC adapter that can match the voltage requirement of the camcorder. Finalizing a DVD consumes a lot of power and if you use the battery, you run the risk of halting the process and destroying ALL of your footage.
Get the adapter and save yourself the aggravation.
I guess you can say I was lucky cause my buddy didnt know what to do with it and he basically gave it to me.. No Charge.. But the battery cost me $100 and the charger about $70 so in total you could say $170 dollars..
