I have a European Sony DCR-TRV355E PAL, Handy Cam Digital 8. When using it in England it is fine but when I stay in Florida I have problems with the playback via the Sanyo tv over there. The camera works fine over there otherwise. There is a picture with grey bars and some sound. Is there any advise from anyone who has had the same problems. Do I need to buy different leads/cables? Would be grateful if someone out there can advise me what to do!
Diane, You have just run into the PAL/NTSC difference. Unfortunately, there are no cables nor leads that can over ride these video difference, unless your camcorder can switch from different formats.
You are going to need a video monitor that is PAL standard.
