Not unless you want the movie to transfer in fast forward. 2 hours is exactly 2 hours. It took you 2 hours to tape it and it would take 2 hours to view it and guess what...it would take 2 hours to transfer it. It is not like dubbing analog tapes of old, so patience is a must.
You have to understand that you are transferring raw footage and not a compressed file. If you have taped footage in a compressed format and a different file, then yes it would be faster.
The point of using firewire is to preserve the integrity of your footage as much as possible.
