JVC mini DV can't be detected!! HELP!!

hi all..i am using a JVC GR-D250
have a USB cable..plug it into my comp but its not detected or nothing happen at all
tried other USB stuffs and its able to be detected!!
WHY SO??
AND HOW TO RECTIFY?? HELPP!!
