I have a JVC miniDV GR-D30U I'm looking at buying a Plextor PX-M402U digital video converter. From what i understand it will convert video into MPEG-4, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 formats. With this I can convert my video from cam. to a format i can use to burn DVD's I can also transfer video from old VHS taps from VCR and it will format the same way. Video editing and DVD creation software are included. I can buy it from TigerDirect for 127.99 less a 50.00 rebate. 77.99, is this a good idea or am i wasting my time and money? I also have problems with condensation, operation paused on my cam. JVC service tech. said it may be a sensor problem. 120.00 to repair the problem if its the sensor. 14.95 for the part, rest is shipping and labor. Any help? Thanks.
I am new to this but, I am transfering video from a minidv to dvd but I have some stopage. What is the PC requirement for good quality video????? Thanks Coop
