How can I copy Date/Time to DVD recorder using iLink interface

I have Sony DCR-HC42E and DVD recorder Philips DVDR 615. I am using iLink cable for connecting both devices but Time/Date data Code do not transfer with the audio/viseo signals what can I Do? I need a help badly
