DV Formats?

Hi, Sorry if this is a common question but I could not find the answer searching old posts. Any advice appreciated.

I have used old 8mm tape camcorders in the past, but now need a DV to use at work. I am really confused over formats and have been around all the DV stores and just get contradictory advice.

I want to use a DV to make internal training videos. They will be ínterview style movies, filmed indoors, with the presenter maybe using a whiteboard or powerpoint presentation as a backdrop. Movies will be 10-30 mins in length.

The quality of the production is not critical, though need to see any backdrp clearly and hear audio well. The movies just need to be easy to make and be converted to an easy format for distribution around the company. Either via email or DVD.

So what format is the best? Have heard DVD is quick to transfer but harder to edit. HDD is high risk in case of damage, and tape is reliable, good quality, easy to edit but slow to transfer.

Any ideas what I should use???
