Hi, I'm a college student looking to major in film. I was wondering if anyone knew what a good camera to use would be. I have a mac and final cut express 2 and no idea what to look for in a camera. i'm looking at spending b/w $500 and $800. Thanks
i want to know more in filmaking or how a film is made

Roger-- If you're looking for a camera under $800, I would suggest the Sony TRV70. I bought one and am very happy with it. We are very limited when it comes to camcorders under $2000. I have bought many and taken them back due to poor indoor light performance. The TRV70 has beautiful outdoor performance as well as very good indoor. Most camcorders in this price range need a light to perform well in indoor lighting, but this one is by far the best I've tried. Hope this helps
