Hi everyone, I'm new to the whole video process. I'm taking home movies of my baby girl with a Sony Mini DV. What I want to do is buy actual DVD movies or copy them (yes, I know it's illegal) using DVD X Copy or DVD Shrink. I want to take scenes and splice them into my home movies. For example, I have footage of some old man with a ridiculous hat and I want to splice in the scene from Caddyshack where Rodney Dangerfield says, "You buy a hat like that, you should get a free bowl of soup." Then, I want to go back to the guy with the funny hat. What is the best way to edit scenes from DVD into my DV movies? Please help.
