I have a firewire card/cable that I have used successfully with JVC camera's in the past (one the same model as my new one).
Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 is the software I am using to capture (never had a problem with it in the past).
To import footage, I have to first turn the computer off - and make sure the camera is turned on wit hthe firewire cable plugged in - then turn the computer back on, load Adobe Premiere... then the capture feature will work.
If I don't do this, I can control the camera through adobe premiere but when i try to record the footage to the PC, it says "captured 0 frames" and nothing comes up on the screen.
Every time I want to import footage if I have to do this, I am going to go insane. Has anybody else had this problem, and what is the way around it?
