I am looking to buy a digital 8 camcorder and i understand that it can record on hi8 tapes and 8mm tapes in digital format. What i'm a little confused about is whether or not you can transfer the video to your computer for editing afterwards? I also am wondering if you can reuse a tape by just deleting what was on the tape and starting over instead of having to buy new tapes all the time. Also, if you can edit videos on your computer, when you send them back to your camcorder, does it just automatically record onto your tape or do you have to put a new tape in to record your edited movie? I'd appreciate all the help i can get! p.s. what does ccd stand for?
