Hey I recently just got a Panasoniv PV-DC152 minidv camcorder, and I can't seem to get it connected to the pc. I have the firewire cable coming from my firewire card hooking up directly to the camera. I know the cable and the card both work because I have hooked up a friends camera before. I just have no idea what to do now. Also, I can not playback videos on my camcorder. When I go to the 'VCR' mode and select 'Play' it makes a sound like its searching for something and then it just stops and does nothing. It is a blue screen this whole time. Can anyone please help me with this? Thanks
If your camcorder is failing to play back correctly, you can assume it is faulty in which case you might as well get a replacement before you start worrying about whether it can connect to your PC or not. From the hundreds of problems I have seen on this website, there is no particular emphasis on Panasonic, so don't feel that a brand-change is mandated at this point.
