I really like my camcorder, a JVC GR-D70U. I've had it over a year. The problem is that I can't use it anymore. The zoom feature is malfunctioning. It is stuck on maximum optical zoom, and won't go back. It just clicks. I've had it all apart, and the mechanical part of the lens assembly seems to be working ok. The motors work, and nothing is broken or has slipped out of place. Has anybody had a similar problem? Does anybody know how to fix this camcorder? Thanks.
I love my JVC GR-D70U camcorder but recently I cannot get a picture. The zoom functions fine everything works wonderfuly but all I see are some vertical colored lines. It seems as if all the colors are smeared together. Any and all help would be great. Thanks

I have the same problem but I get a black screen and the sound still works. I simply turned it on one day and it didn't work anymore. The zoom makes a noise that seems to be normal but I don't remember if it used to make that noise before it stopped working.
