How do I get the date on the photos transferd to my PC from Sony handicam?

Hi I have a sony hadicam. When I use the remote and set the data content I can see the date on the photos I have taken , but when I am viewing them on my handicam itself. But when I trasnfet these photos to my PC (using a USB cable) I do not see the date on snap. Is there any way I can get it?
